Toyota Corolla (E120): Inspection procedure

1 Check side squib(rh) circuit(airbag sensor assy center – front seat airbag assy rh)

  1. Disconnect the negative (–) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
  2.  disconnect the connectors between the airbag sensor assy center and the front seat airbag assy (rh).
  3.  for the connector (on the front seat airbag assy side) between the airbag sensor assy center and the front seat airbag assy (rh), measure the resistance between sfr+ and body ground.

    Ok: resistance: 1 mΩ or higher

  1. Connect the connector to the airbag sensor assy center.
  2.  using a service wire, connect sfr+ and sfr– of the connector (on the front seat airbag assy side) between the airbag sensor assy center and the front seat airbag assy (rh).
  3.  connect the negative (–) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
  4.  turn the ignition switch to on, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
  5.  clear the dtc stored in memory .
  6. turn the ignition switch to lock, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
  7.  turn the ignition switch to on, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
  8.  check the dtc .

    Ok: dtc b0112/41 is not output.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to lock.
  2.  disconnect the negative (–) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
  3.  connect the front seat airbag assy (rh) connector.
  4.  connect the negative (–) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
  5.  turn the ignition switch to on, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
  6.  clear the dtc stored in memory .
  7.  turn the ignition switch to lock, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
  8.  turn the ignition switch to on, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
  9.  check the dtc .

    Ok: dtc b0112/41 is not output.
